About David Billings

My many years of experience, buying, selling, flipping, and maximizing the value of every home and Real Estate Transaction I've touched, gives me a HUGE advantage over most other brokers. The knowledge in negotiation and problem solving for the hundreds of typical but unexpected problems that come up with real estate transactions can't be covered in any training course but was hard earned through year of experience working through both my and my clients transactions. I've been lucky to work with some of the best brokers and mentors in the business as I gained my own experience in this business.

I started early with houses and grew up in my father's general contracting business. I started by paying my dues digging ditches and packing lumber and worked my way towards eventually learning nearly every task needed in residential construction and hiring employees for my own, part time, painting company before I finished HighSchool.

I veered away from Real Estate for a bit and obtained a master's degree in Psychology. I built and ran a very successful therapy practice. I do think things happen for a reason and I use that Psychology knowledge every single day in my work as a broker, not just to gain an advantage for my clients at the negotiating table.

As my children started to grow I decided to gain control of my own schedule so I could be at home and at soccer fields to maximize my time in my Daughters lives. I transitioned my work life from Therapist to Real Estate Investor and built a successful Real Estate Investing company from the ground up. I worked through , dozens of my own transactions as a buyer and seller, for years, before I became a broker. I'm very proud to say that I've never lost money on a Real Estate Transaction no matter what direction the market was moving. Aside from mentoring other investors, I use the knowledge that makes me a reliably profitable investor, to make sure that I treat every single clients home sale or purchase with the same care and skill that I use with my own investments. Every dollar matters to me when I buy and sell houses, so I know every dollar matters to my clients as well.

I became a broker simply because I wanted to offer better options to the sellers that wanted to sell their homes than the cash offers I could make as an investor. Often I can make a lot more money for a seller by listing their property than buying it. I truly enjoy my work with my real estate clients and I get excited every time I can use my experience to give my clients a leg up over their competition, or more importantly to find a simple solution to a problem that threatens to de-rail their transactions. If course, most problems in a home sale or purchase transaction are unexpected and come out of left field. My clients will tell you they were very happy that I was the broker in their corner when their problems flared up.

When I'm not working with clients or my own investments, I'm snapping pictures or streaming video from my daughter’s soccer games and gymnastics meets so other parents can watch their athletes. (Such is life in the COVID era.), playing games with or camping with family and friends, or doing my best to put a dent in the local crab population.
